The specialists of the Radiocomp LLC have developed a new microwave synthesizer that complements the corresponding family of its products. Its basic features: a very wide range of operating frequencies, short switching time, high frequency resolution, low phase noise. The synthesizer is based on the VCO. When operating, it provides a mode of operation with a monochrome signal, sweep in frequency and amplitude, frequency tuning according to the list.

The device is made in the form of a relatively small module with a robust design.

Main characteristics:

• operating frequency range: 0.08 - 20 GHz;
• frequency resolution: 0.001 Hz;
• maximum switching time: 50 μs;
• output signal level: -20 ... + 10 dBm;
• phase noise level: -117 dBc / Hz (100 Hz), -132 dBc / Hz (1 kHz),
• 140 dBc / Hz (10 kHz) at a frequency of 1 GHz;
• 102 dBc / Hz (100 Hz), -117 dBc / Hz (1 kHz), -123 dBc / Hz (10 kHz) at a frequency of 10 GHz;
• supply voltage: 12...15 V;
• maximum current consumption: 1.5 A;
• overall dimensions of the device: 220 × 135 × 30 mm;
• mass of the device: 1300 gr.

The synthesizer is equipped with several control interfaces: Ethernet, USB, SPI. High-frequency ports use SMA connectors. The list of possible applications for the new synthesizer is very wide: from educational and scientific laboratories to special radio engineering systems and complexes.
